As you have gathered I know nothing about paperweights and not much about glass really - Okra?? ;D
-
Not Okra I'm afraid, ;D ;D, don't know much about pwt's myself.

The companies that come to mind are more cut crystal glass like Tudor and Stuart I am 'floundering' Pilkington? did they take over Chance. They made paperweights :)

Arminghall special !!!!!!! my wife said she saw one almost identical on wednesday????

-
Hi Keith, the Arminghall special was a joke attribution because my wife saw one almost identical on a car boot sale in Arminghall this week. When the correct maker comes up it will be interesting, thank you.
Regards Roger
-
::) ;D ;D I did say I'm no pwt expert and that proves it, any one want to know the answer ?
-
yes please - put us out of our misery! who made it?
-
Ok, ;D 'The Foundry'
-
Just had confirmation from Jill Devine that weights were made at 'the Foundry' and were part of the 'papillon' range probably by Gwyneth Newland, does anyone know what she is doing now ? I have looked without success, ::) ;D ;D
-
I have a crazy "The Foundry" weight which has holes in it and is iridescent. Never did find much about the studio though....
-
Would very much like to see a picture if possible, please ;D ;D
-
Afraid it's packed away in the loft somewhere..... When I find it will post a pic, but will take a while!
