I haven't a clue what this could be. I thought it might be a flower frog, but if it is, which way up does it go? Would the centre hole house a figurine? It measures approx. 3¾" square and 1¾" deep. One end is nicely polished and the other has a flat round rim.
I may be way off with my flower frog idea and it might be for a light fitting of some sort. Pic.3 certainly looks like a frog - a headless one.
Any ideas please?

Yes, it's a flower frog for a square vase, possibly Sowerby?

Thanks for the thumbs up Christine. :)
I've looked through all the Sowerby resources that I have, but without luck, but it could be in something that I don't yet have.
Will get back if I have any success.

That is gorgeous!
It has to be related to their "Sunray" trinket set too ??? I had odd pieces a long time ago and had forgotten about them. They made the set in uranium green - seen in glasstrinketsets.com
