I've never seen anything like this, but it was cheap i had to get it for the novelty.
Im hoping someone can shed some light on it.
Its about 6" high, quite thick & chunky. In a tree like natural form.
The underside is flat like a paperweight with a bubbly circle cut out of it.
The orange seems to go all the way to the clear bit on the bottom and the blue painted on in places, both have some iridescence.
Its lined in white which is cream near the top.
I wondered if its maybe its what I've read called a 'studio', or an apprentice piece.
Any Help please!
Thank you

I'd also like to know, had this for ages looks like a kindred piece to me, ;D ;D

Thanks flying free. I've never seen one before so have nothing to go on, but did wonder if it was Japanese or Chinese for no reason other than i didn't know. May i ask what makes you think so?
-
Not sure - I did think after I'd posted, mmm maybe Chinese.
Can we see a good clear pic of the base please?
Is it like a molded pontil mark type thing?

Don't think these are quite the same, the base on mine is different, can't say for the original post, could still be Japanese though, ::) ;D ;D

Thanks Keith. Your little one really looks like a mini version of the same :D
Mines put away, and i can't find where! I think it had a flat base like this.
