Title: Empoli? tall bottle
Post by: heartofsklo on May 15, 2014, 04:18:40 PM
I am unsure if this bottle is Empoli, I seem to remember somewhere that they used a simlar coloured glass. Measures 29.5cm tall.

Modern bottle works, probably from recycled glass, somewhere like Spain or Turkey I think... I have one in green, bought new within the last 15 years. See others here: http://glassgallery.yobunny.org.uk/thumbnails.php?album=1008 (http://glassgallery.yobunny.org.uk/thumbnails.php?album=1008)

Thanks Anne, they are nice decorative items.

I use mine for home-made cordials etc... they are cheap and cheerful. Although I have a few less than I did have after a visiting cat decided to climb up the curtains of the window where they were... one shocked moggie and a load of broken bottles later...   :'( Luckily the cat was unhurt!

LOL, my three moggies (2 ragdolls and 1 siamese) are under strict instruction about climbing, luckily they do not much more than sleep and look decorous  ;)
