I have another piece of glass I would appreciate help in identifying the maker. It is thick walled , stands 11cms in height, the rim diameter is also 11cms. The base is polished with a large ground out pontil mark. The glass has a light blue tinge to it. It has the look of a Whitefriars 9364 William Wilson but not the right size. The colour and feel reminds me of Stromberg glass but none this shape that I could find. Any ideas?

Looking at the base in your last photograph, there does not look like there is any sign of age/scratches/dullness, that could just be the angle of the photo though. Does the base show any signs of being moved around on different surfaces?

Hi, I know what you mean and it does look very new but there are signs of use. Perhaps not as much as I have seen on other pieces , but definitely wear marks. Thanks for your interest.

I would check out Orrefors & Kosta Boda. They made lots of blanks that were usually engraved. Seems to be the right blue for a Swedish item to me.

Could be this Whitefriars one

Holmegaard made something very similar too - rather difficult to ID from photos though.

Thanks everyone for your help. Still following up the suggestions.
