Hi, I wonder if anyone recognises this or can tell me anymore about it.
It looks to have some age wear, but how much i don't know.
Its a quality looking piece in an odd shade of olive green, lined in a paler colour. The lid is very heavy, i guess there's a lot of lead in it, lead crystal maybe? it has the effect of not letting light through at all side on, it appears black! Not sure why, whether its simply because its thick.
At first i thought it probably dated to around the '50s but I'm not sure if it might be earlier.
All opinions welcome, I'm here to learn:)
