Title: daisy canes / 3 Fiori
Post by: BobKegeles on May 21, 2014, 01:47:25 AM
I'm curious, I have 2 3 Fiori w8s, the turtle one and the daisy and roses piece.

I also have (had) 2 unrelated pieces that to my eye has the same daisy canes.

Does that mean they are also likely 3 Fiori pieces, or is that specific daisy cane something used in multiple factories?

A related question, Is "daisy cane" the proper name for these?

Thanks for the info

Bob

They are Fratelli Toso canes, daisy seems a reasonable description. See pages 9 and 205 Fratelli Toso by Leslie Pina. As I understand it, FT sold canes so determining the maker of an actual weight containing them can be more difficult.
