Just wanted to know when this mark was used by Webb on their glass, was it for export and for which period of time was it used ? Thanks very much, all help on this date-line much appreciated . Ta Mike. My guess , 1970's :o This mark reads Richardson , Union Jack , British...lead crystal goblet , 13.5 cm tall .

Strange one. I thought that once Richardsons was absorbed into Thomas Webb in the 1930s, the name disappeared? Interesting to hear other comments. I've got Charles' book off the shelf and notice on p.142 that the Union Flag was used in the 1930s, so it may be much earlier than you think.

Thanks very much David,
Perhaps they are Richardson glasses from that period then !! I made an assumption which might be entirely wrong . I have five of them and they are all in mint condition , not a scratch to be seen apart from some light wear to the base. They really are lovely glasses and it's a pleasure to drink from them :)

There is some info. here which says the Richardson name was used up until the 1960's but no mention of the Union Jack logo......
