They look like more Murano weights.

Hi. I think AVEM made similar weights.

A similar hollow crown paperweight appears on page 51 of Jargstorf Paperweights and is attributed to Fratelli Toso. I have one on my website that is almost identical to yours:

Hi. Below is an image of a similar paperweight with an AVEM signature on the base.

dear alan it gets interesting, they are not all the same as I seemed to have some other low round one has this label

Hi. I think that is a generic Murano label, probably used for exported items, rather than a particular maker's label.

I am wondering how common the AVEM Murano script signature is? I've never seen this. All of the signed AVEM pieces I have owned had only foil labels... no engraved signatures.
The Murano Zoo website shows a variety of Murano labels including some engraved and acid etched examples.

and on this board under the glass gallery also has pages of Murano labels

Useful links. I think there is a whole PCA Bulletin article waiting to be written about this topic...and I am sure you are the man to do it! ;D

I'm sure many glassworks almost did not sign anything and atichette were made by shopkeepers. many beautiful objects also have never had signatures

I'd love to see an article on the subject, but I am hardly the expert to write it. But back to the paperweight. What makes this one somewhat unique is that it has a large bubble in the center like the French antique crown weights.
