Hi all, this glass is 13cm tall, why is 13 the magic number?,with a lovely long ring and polished pontil,it has wear to three places on the foot it sits on and some to the rim, i guess hinting it was kept on it's rim at times, the stem is green and the foot a lighter amber with the green showing through on the polished pontil, there are a few air bubbles and i think a couple of lighter coloured seeds in the foot plus a couple of small black bits, any thoughts on this glass, many thanks.

unusual colour combination. The shape, size and stem formation are seen often in bristol green, and I've just measured one or two of mine and they're also about 13 cms.
Glasses of this design are usually given a date of c. 1810 - 1830 ish - but other than saying possibly Continental, I've no idea of origin, sorry. :)

Hmm,thanks Paul it does seem to fit into those dates in everything apart from the colour combinations ,so i guess it's a rare piece?hopefully someone will come along who has a similar coloured piece of some shape and size.
