Does anyone know what this is? This blue vase is quite large, 50 centimeters in height. I have searched on Google without success.
-
Could you add more views and larger please. Base picture is important and in this case detail of the decoration.
-
I was not allowed to publish larger images on this site. Am I missing something? How do I come around the image size restriction?
-
If you resize a high-res picture so that the longest dimension is about 700 pixels it should be large enough and good enough resolution to see yet small enough to upload. Cropping first is good too, as it gives you more actual relevant picture to play with. You have 125 kb per picture. You don't need to make a thumbnail, the board does that

Lots of tips in the help forum for sorting the picture issue. http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,34093.0.html

I think we have had similar vases on the board within the last year or so but I can not find the thread. Those others had a coating on the surface that can flake off, a sort of fractal looking effect, a bit like a frozen windscreen.

Your observations seems to be correct. I'm attaching some new pictures...

Whoops.... it is different from the vases I was thinking of, sorry. The new photos do help though.
-
The white 'threads' appear to be floating above the blue colouring, can you confirm that? Also they show inside so are they also on the inside? Also is the white on the surface or under clear glss?
From the pictures a coating seems less likely. If its yes to all the questions it becomes a very intriguing piece for me.

The white threads are not on the inside. The white stuff is on the surface of the glass. The glass seems to be clear with a blue coloured surface and the white threads are above the blue colouring. Hope this makes sense...

Don't be sorry. I'm glad that you are trying to help to solve my little problem. Thanks!

It has been bugging me but I finally found that thread I mentioned: http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,53933.0.html
Little relation it seems...

I've seen that type of white trailing before on florist ware from Marsberger, 1970s - could be an avenue to explore.

If the blue and white are both on the surface then a printed decoration appears possible much easier to achieve such an effect that way. Florist ware fits too.
