Title: Chinese, I presume?
Post by: RescoCCC on June 05, 2014, 11:17:08 PM
Pretty sure this is, but I figured I'd check with the experts. Measures 2 1/4 inches in diameter, and 1 5/8 inches high. Typical ground base as is usually seen on Chinese weights.

Hi. I think it is a current / very recent Chinese product.  Some of the paperweights (and no doubt other glass items) now emerging are of sufficient quality to confuse those collectors who assume all Chinese work is poor, and do not check out what Chinese factories are offering.  It is quite easy to get an overview of products by Internet searches.

They're certainly getting better, at a quick glance that could easily be a possible Murano weight.

Thanks, guys. I have seen some recent Chinese weights that seem much better than normal, including some lampwork stuff that actually looks pretty cool.
