I rather suspect this would be described as "Marble" rather than Tiger. The design has been altered to be much flatter, accommodated into a much thinner body of glass than Tiger was. The background is now "frothy" and creamy coloured rather than bubbly and yellow, the strapping much more a definite brown than the reds and browns of Tiger.

I don't know when they changed the name.

Thanks Sue

I thought it was either tiger or marble but unsure so thanks for the confirmation.

It's got a plastic label on, so it's circa '90s. The design had been altered (as your bowl is) and name had changed by then.
In the Mdina book there is a very large globe vase, described as Tiger, which is actually Marble. (It's mine)

I'm not sure if the design alteration and name change even happened at the same time.

But I am quite content to describe the altered design as Marble and the unaltered original as Tiger. It just makes sense. :)
