Title: Would bohemian Iridescent bowl have sterling silver rim cover - Birmingham 1903
Post by: zidori on June 07, 2014, 09:10:48 PM
I have what I thought was a Loetz or Kralik small bowl but have identified the silver marks as Birmingham 1903. Would they have outsourced the silver work or is it a later addition? Or am I wrong about Bohemian?

You are right, the importer/factor would have commissioned the piece and had the rim applied in England. A common practice.
