Title: Mdina, I.O.W. Mtarfa or other? ID = Phoenician

Lovely little squat vase - unsigned, in delicate colours, unlike my other Mdina pieces. Nice firey glow when held to the light with all the gold.
Not sure if its Mdina, I.O.W. Mtarfa or Phoenician.  Any ideas welcome please :)

Phoenician gets my vote, the colours remind me of some of their paperweights.

Definitely Phoenician - a really lovely design  :)
- in this you can clearly see a definite parting of the ways (from Mdina) in the increasing sophistication of the use of the colours. I have a little bowl, marked on the base and with its label.
There is silver chloride in it as well as enamels - a full complement of effects. 8)

(and your little pot has more colours in it than my bowl does :P )  ;)

It's a lovely little thing, but I must confess to liking the base view best of all.  Its so much nicer than the pic. which doesn't capture all the delicate colours/pattern.

These are not that easy to find, Anne.
I don't know when they were produced. I suspect they're reasonably early in Phoenician production, but not right at the beginning - the glass produced at the beginning was very much along the lines of slight adaptations of Mdina, this has become somewhat more refined, hasn't it? I'm looking at my little bowl right now - there is so much lovely fine detail going on in it!
