Title: Uranium pressed glass basket help please.

This piece of uranium glass looks a lot different than the Davidson bits i own. The sides are uneven almost like it's been pinched when reheated from the mould, there are three mould lines on the base. It looks brand new that's my only worry.

It's 3 inches in height by 4 3/4 inch square across the rim.

It's American and Fenton Open Edge and yes it's been shaped after coming out of the mould. If it's unmarked then it's old rather than newer.

Yes, indeed Fenton Art Glass, Williamstown, West Virginia, USA, is correct. Collectors call this Open Edge Basketweave, but it was simply No. 1092 in our records. The Topaz dates from about 1908-1912, and we also made the No. 1092 in quite a few different shapes in our 'iridescent ware' that is now called Carnival glass. Look up the pattern on this web site:
