Brilliant idea.  I assume the seller is "fishing" for offers.  Might try that myself, nothing ventured, nothing gained.

I think the ebay newbie had a decimal point problem. Mind you his cut glass bowl is neither cut nor rare, so perhaps just delusions

It was even better. He had it listed as "Scandinavian". Point in his favor is that he did change it when I messaged him that it's Chinese.
