I'm starting off on the Scandinavian board as that's the biggest vibe I've gotten from this vase. If the Moderators think it belongs else where please do move it.
I purchased this a few weeks ago, I was so sure I'd seen it in a book somewhere... but weeks of searching and I'm coming up empty handed.
It's 6" tall and 2 7/8" in diameter. Thin ribbons of white criss-crossing inside a thin wall of crystal. Air trapped bubbles in the spaces between the threads. It has a pontil on the base.
Any thoughts at all about the origins of this piece?

Hi,
The latticino and the bubble inside each crossed section looks like reticello, which is a common Murano technique. I can't recall seeing it in often in anything from Scandinavia, although Kraka by Palmqvist at Orrefors was a variation of the technique. I've also seen it in some modern American studio glass, but I'd expect to see that signed. So my guess would remain Murano.

Thanks for the opinion David,
Murano was the other option I was going with, I've checked all the literature I have on that also to no avail.
