Title: ID help on enameled bird lamps
Post by: a-mighty-wind on July 22, 2014, 11:28:39 PM
Hello again all.....you know how you have that one shop you go to and never find anything yet you keep going and going???? I finally found something there.... Body of the lamps are 12" tall enameling reminds me of moser but I know many things are falsely identified as moser. Do any of you recognize these?

Thanks again!

my instinct would be Harrach also. I think if you do a good search you might be able to match that shape as well.  Just interested to know, is the body round i.e. a globe, or is it flattened back to front as it were please?

Where the bayonet electric fittings go into they look like Victorian gas lamp fittings to me, i have three old lamps similar, but wall mounted.

Would they have static gas lamp vases?, must be rare a surviving pair, the new bulb mounts with the pull cords i'm sure you can still buy these new, what is on the very top of the brass fitting out of picture shot?
