I just can not find out what this would have been used for, i almost sure it's by Stuart but it's not signed and i do not recognise the pattern. It looks like a Hock glass with a lid, there is a gap for a spoon. I took the pics in low light earlier so apologise for the quality.
It's 8 inches in total height and 3 inches across the base.

It's a conserve dish

Thanks Christine., i still can not find another in this shape though.

These stemmed ones don't seem very common. Sometimes they just look like squared off glasses

probably of no help whatsoever, but............ Webb Corbett appear to have been keen on air twist/spiral stems back in the '70's. David Smith designed/decorated one or two of their commemorative pieces - as per the attached. Might be worth a look. :)

The one on left Paul, what does it say?, those two glasses are little works of art i think and that base cut looks so familiar to Webb, this one i posted will sit in my collection, i could not part with it, it glows white in sunlight.

hi Chris being limited edition pieces, both of these are stylus engraved with the factory name, designer and edition No., so can't really go wrong knowing from whence they came..... the label is possibly just a standard W/Corbett sticker for the period. The writing is black on gold and simply shows - 'crown mark - hand made/hand cut - Webb Corbett - Fine English Full Lead Crystal - Made in England'.
I just thought the air twist had some similarity to your conserve dish stem.

Just a thought, could it be a caviar jar? Seems a bit small and high for a jam jar ;-) you would need to hold the base while spooning.
