Here's the second questionable attribution.
I would thing John Deacons, Peter McDougal, or Perthshire.
No label.
Roughly 2-1/2" across.
The base has a flat perimeter, maybe 1/2", then concave. I tend to think Deacons and PMcD as both having totally flat bottoms.
The center cane seems to have an StM lettering.
Diagnosis?

It is by John Deacons. He uses the St Kilda signature cane (stk) that you can see in the middle of your weight.

Thanks, I'm used to his thistle, or figural. It looked very Deacony to me.

Hi Bob,
Here is some information for you- The De Cora Import Company, then based in New York, contacted John Deacons in the late 1970's and asked him to create a new brand of paperweights especially for them so John named this new line St Kilda, after an island in the Hebrides Islands off the Scottish Coast, and each has the StK signature cane. Some of these were very nice weights indeed and here are a couple from my collection. I believe these weights were made from around 1979 - 1984
John later created another brand - St Andrew with an StA cane but these are quite rare

Dave,
Those are both lovely pieces, especially the tops one, wait no, especially the bottom one, wait no, I guess especially both of them.
Thanks for the info, greatly appreciated.

I used to buy from DeCora Imports in the early 80's and resell many of the St. Kilda items. I think Deacons made this distinct line for them under a different name to avoid a contractual agreement with others that they had an exclusive for all the John Deacon signed weights. I think Larry Selman may have had the initial exclusive rights.
-
I believe the "exclusive rights" weights were for the "Jay Glass" series items.
-
you're correct about the J Glass rights, memory on some things isn't what it used to be.

Hi Dave,
Gosh, I never knew that John Deacons signed some of his weights with a StA cane. Many thanks for the info!!
Would you have a weight with this cane? If you do, I would love to see a picture of it.

Hi Sophie,
Here are pictures of my two StA weights, I wrote an article on these in the PCC newsletter.
Hi Bob
Most StK weights were exported to the USA and all of the StA were too so there are more of these over there than over here

Hi Dave,
Many thanks for the pictures. Very nice weights.
Sorry, I must have missed this article (or forgotten its content)... I will need to go back over my issues.

Hi Bob
I just remembered some information I should have included in a previous post so apologies for omitting this.
Although virtually all St Kilda weights were signed with an StK cane a few had the name spelt out in full - here is my example. I believe they are rare and I am wondering if any other GMB Members have one ?
Tony Moravec, the Works Manager at Perthshire, brought in some weights his father had made in Bohemia and this is what gave John Deacons the idea for the looped design of this paperweight. I am sure many collectors will have seen this pattern in Bohemian weights

Hmmm,
By looped design, I assume you mean the white "stripes" around the bottom.
I've found this on lots and lots of American Mid-West pieces, (Peacock Glassworks among others), they must have borrowed it from the Bohemians as well.
