You know how frustrating it feels when you recognise a face but can't put a name to it? Well, that's how I feel about this blue cased-glass vase. It's 290mm tall, oval cross-section, and with a very distinctive rim. Needless to say, there are no markings or label, but it's surely Swedish, and I've certainly seen other examples. Can anyone help? Many thanks, L.

Hi, Rim is very similar to vases by Milan Metelak that I have, the blue colour of your vase seems a bit pale, but that could be down to the lighting and/or thickness of the vase. Whats the base like?
Cheers, David

Thanks, David,
You know, I knew the rim rang a bell, and the Metelak / Harrachov designs you are referring to are exactly what I was trying to remember. It's too early to say if it's a positive ID, but I'll plough through my references and keep you posted. Meantime, the base is polished flat with finely bevelled edges, but nothing to identify it. Thanks, Larry.
