Title: Vase ID
Post by: BDG55 on August 08, 2014, 08:29:48 PM
I'm absolutely in love with this vase, but unfortunately the maker is unknown.  Does anyone have a clue as to who the maker is?

Thanks
Rick

Firstly, not Mdina, at least not my eye.

Rick, can you give us any more information? How is the base finished, how big is it?

John

it is whispering Nemtoi as a possibility, to me.

I agree with John, nothing like any Mdina I know of.

:) I'm going to ask a moderator to remove the image you put in the first post. I'm afraid it willl cause copyright problems for the board if it is left there.

It is fine to post a link to a sale - that way, the owner of the image still has the copyright, but it is not ok to lift an image from their site and post it here.

Tricky to tell from those photos. If I was buying I would want to handle it first (for a bit of reassurance).

Similar looking to these two: http://loetz.com/decors-a-z/phaenomen-genres/phaenomen-genres-enter-here/pg-8099

Ok, point taken, Chris, sorry! Can't think of the one you're thinking of though.
