Hello,
I am hoping someone on GMB might be able to identify this light shade for me.
It is not in my field of experience with glass, so I'd be pleased if there is an expert, who can shed some light.
Thanks, if you can.

Hi and welcome! :)
Lamp shades can be notoriously difficult to identify. Even when they are by a well known maker, they tend to involve specific special production techniques that remove them from the general production line, and so do not often have distinguishing features of that production line.
Having said that, this shade does look rather special, I would hope somebody might be able to help you.
Your location on the planet might help us a little, although glass does travel all over the world, often the place the person who has the glass lives in, is a good place to start.

Hi Sue,
Although the piece is located in Melbourne, Australia, it appears too refined for Australian glass. I was thinking maybe a French maker.
Good to chat to you after a year back home.

I might suspect French myself. Or American. But haven't a clue which maker.
The one good thing about gorgeous glass lampshades is that they are usable and they are always desirable decorative items: if you were wanting to sell it, it would make its own decent price even without a definite maker.
But if that shade was mine, it would be in use in my home. Nobody else would be getting near it. ;D

Bigger pics against a plain background might help in identification, so would the dimensions ;)
