Picked up this small vase, calling it that but suspect it may actually be a perfume bottle minus the stopper, from a second hand dealer for a few pence. Could it be Isle Of Wight? No markings to the base. The glass is iridescent which I don't think comes over clearly in the pictures.

I am pretty sure this is not Isle of Wight Glass, at least not of the Harrises. It's all wrong: wrong shape, wrong surface pattern, base not like IOW. It can't suggest what it might be, though. Sorry.

Is the rim polished or heat finished?
Is there a "worn" ring around the inside of the neck, which would have made the seal with a stopper?
(evidence that it might be a perfume)
I do not think it is IoWSG either, sorry.
It looks more like a small posy vase than a perfume to me, and has a Caithnessy look about it, but I don't know if it could be Caithness.

The rim is polished and there is a worn area on the inside of the neck so it is definitely a perfume I'd say. Doesn't have a Caithness feel to it but I do agree with it not being IOW, that was just wishful thinking lol.
-
A cut and polished rim would be inconsistent with IoWSG.
But not Caithness.
What about Heron? They used an iridesence like that...

Heron was another producer I was considering. Seems to be many unattributed perfumes online so may never find out for sure, would be nice to find a stopper for it though.

First thought was Stuart Strathearn - for what it is worth.
