Title: Kralik Cornucopia Vases
Post by: Mac on September 08, 2014, 08:26:19 PM
I love these Cornucopia Vases. Here is one I picked up this summer. The one in the background is one I have had for a while.

Kralik did a variety of these shapes in a variety sizes and decors. The Cornucopia is a stylized goat's horn usually shown overflowing with fruit, flowers and grain. According to Greek Mythology, it is the horn of the goat that suckled Zeus, which broke off and became filled with fruit. In folklore, it became full of whatever its owner desired.

Agreed lovely, yours are a bit more subtle than these two.

I was so wrong with that file name!
