Title: Any ideas what this is??

Hi all,this piece is round bottomed and i would think made for hanging on something,it's very wonkywith a roughly finished rim loads of bits and a broken pontil,any ideas many thanks.

the fact that you don't provide any dimensions may possibly inhibit people from replying - is the opening sufficiently wide to allow it to be used as a hanging tea light, do you think?

I'd suggest near or far eastern, and made quite recently :)

it's about 4"ht it may be for a small candle Paul,but i think the heat would crack the handle,maybe for a scent oil,anyone been to the far east on hols and used or seen one of these?? :)

you could be right.         I had meant to say that quite likely not for leeches  ......   believe those normally had an everted rim around which string etc. could be tied to maintain secure attachment of the paper or material over the opening.
