Title: Help please in identifying this vase.
Post by: adnerb on September 16, 2014, 04:27:27 AM
I would be very grateful for any ideas as to maker, designer and age of this unusually shaped bowl / vase
It is 7.5cm in diameter at its widest and 14cm tall at its tallest.  Weighs 508g.
Many thanks

I am not sure but the polished pontil rod mark and shape makes me think it could be Victorian-Edwardian. Could it possibly worth looking at medical glassware, a recepticle for fluids from a patient? Having said that it looks like a nice thing!!

Hi - many thanks for getting back to me so quickly.  My husband thought it looked like a p pot!  I disagreed!  But I think you could be right and I will now check out medical items.  Many thanks.
