Title: thin and long blue glass vase with a bubble at the bottom
Post by: hugosanti on September 18, 2014, 10:23:51 PM
Hello everyone!
Can anyone help me to identify this piece, please?
Any idea about manufacturer, country or year?
Thanks.
Hugo

Well I guess we'd need to know the size - but I reckon I have a similar one and I reckon it's recent Chinese, or maybe at a push Polish. It has a bubble at the bottom (not entirely clear in picture) and is not clear cased, but the same colour throughout. I also had a much larger one with a bubble in the bottom too. That had the matte finish Chinese type ground pontil.

Could I suppose be Kosta of Sweden if the quality looks and feels better than Chinese glass. The single largish bubble was a feature of Kosta from what I've seen in reference books. Still helpful to know the size and a photo of the underside is always useful. Does it have any signs of wear underneath (fine scratches) as this is an indication of some age rather than brand new.
