Hello
I have this vase that has been passed down through my family and I am not sure how old it is actually but quit old. There is no signature or makers marks on the vase.
Anyone know who may have made it. The colors are stunning.
Any help would be great
Thank you

Quezal?

Without a signature it will almost be impossible to id maker. My guess would be "Vandermark" or possibly "Phoenix Studio".
From what I can see in the pictures it does not look old enough to be Quezal or any other maker from that time period.
The "Fan vase w/pulled feather " is a very popular contemporary design.

Here is an example of Phoenix studio glass vase with similar heart. They use a sticker and most of the time a signature too.

Also there are so many U.S. studios that work the hanging hearts designs where the signature is dremel polished off to pass for Durand it isn't even funny. Terry Crider's work is one that shows up often.

Email Donald Carlson the 4 square pontil marks are common to him as is extensive use of iridescence.
See photos of two vases of mine ( the Don Richardson vase was done while he worked for Don Carlson).

How do you know this is 40 years old? Have you asked your family any info about it? It's so beautiful. Yeah it's really odd that it's not signed.

I know Don Richardson worked for Don Carlson from 1975 until around 1995. So don Carlson was producing that long ago.

I'll restate the fact that its not that suprising its not signed at least in the U.S. as for multiple decades many really good studio vases/bowls that mimic past Imperial Art Glass, Durand Art Glass, etc. designs & treatments (after all these designs were not uncommon in the 1920s through early 30s in high end operations) have had the studio signatures carefully removed & are featured (although usually not on eBay) in many an on-line auction op that may feature as many as 100 auction houses. Those not familiar with the shapes/designs/treatments used can be taken in very easily & you can take a great studio vase from the 70s that cost less than $100 & turn it into a $700+ vase at auction with very little work. Maybe it doesn't occur in Europe, but over here its not uncommon at all as there are individuals that seek out & buy these older (and sometimes newer) studio vases/bowls on the secondary market, remove any trace of a signature, rebrand them as a product of any well known art glass op from the 20's to early 30s & put them on the block. Its been a cottage industry for decades.

This has been positively identified elsewhere as Vandermark c1975 by an ex Vandermark worker
