Can anyone help me with this please, it has the vintage Czech concave style base which i have seen on 1950's Czech pressed glass but i can not find another and there normally well documented hence i'm wondering if it's a modern copy?.
It's 3 inches in height and 3 1/2 inches from point to point.
regards Chris.

Rudolfova Glassworks, designed by Rudolf Jurnikl, a vase in this design is also shown on page 82 of Mark Hills book.

This pattern, called "Iceberg" is also found in the form of: Jardiniere, Vase and bowl.
For me it is one of the best designs of Rudolf Jurnikl. really full of "freshness".
To him I have dedicated one of my drawings mnemonics >> (http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,55848.msg317290.html#msg317290)

The jardiniere version is lovely...
The vases come in different sizes too, some of shape variations in the photo.

What is a rough date for this piece of glass?. I have tried to get Marks book but it's out of print,. John you must have a warehouse full of glass, love the feed back from everyone on this one.

According to Mark's book the design dates from 1969, no idea when production ceased though.
If I still had all the glass I bought I would have a warehouse full... On the other hand if I had not sold most of the collections I had built up I could not have afforded to keep buying. These days most of what I buy is solely for resale although the odd piece of Mdina still creeps into my collection from time to time. I also now have a tiny group/collection of Salviati pieces that I can't seem to part with...
