On http://www.great-glass.co.uk/ (http://www.great-glass.co.uk/glass%20notes/marki-l.htm) you'll find a few signatures for comparison (scroll down).

Never mind the signature, does the vase even look like a bit of Loetz? :o

Does look like these though: http://www.kralik-glass.com/frametemplate.html

I am having the signatures removed from these two but have not had them back yet: http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,56227.0.html

I would say that neither the signature, or the glass originated at Loetz.....  tough to see the signature well enough  to see if the correct striations are there, but the glass is all wrong.

I agree it has a strong resemblance to that decor.

I do have to say that something about the colors strikes me as odd, which may simply be the funky back lit photography the opted to use. Lit that way, the colors look much more contemporary to me.

This can also simply be a variation of the shape from production manipulation, but it is also a bit more squat looking than the other three in the link.  Much thicker neck region and less curve at the transition point from the bulbous region to the neck.....  but like I said, possibly just a variation of the shape.

With all of the examples of new glass coming out of the Czech Republic that bear strong resemblance to early glass, I am trusting pieces like this less and less. In the case of this vase, I would likely want to handle it, or get better pics with front lighting to show me that actual glass color and what the piece actually looks like.

Just my 2 cents worth.....  hope it helps....  Interesting piece.
