Hi
Wondered if this lidded jar with metal top is Czech - thanks
Adam

My first idea would be possibly Jean Beck, which isnīt always signed:

It loos very similar - the top on mine just looks metal but I think it's glass it's perfectly fused to lid.
Thanks

From your first picture I wonder if it might even be painted?
-
I think you may be right - black enamel - it needs a wash
-
Can we have a straight side-on shot please.
-
Iīd go for bavarian rather than bohemian then. Welz e.g. would have used a massive black
glass knob.
Personally I also seem to make the observation thereīs often a very thick clear glass casing
on some bavarian pieces, which would go with this one, too. But thatīs just a very personal
theory... (for which Iīve already been told off badly) ;D

It has a lustre - it's 12cm high - here is a side shot

Perhaps you should just take your chance and ask:

Thanks - I emailed them

Fingers crossed...
BTW lustre also sounds good for Jean Beck.
