Title: Please help identify this blown Uranium water jug
Post by: nick.a on September 30, 2014, 09:55:28 PM
Hi,
Please help me to identify this Uranium glass water jug. It has a polished pontil an applied handle and a rather uneven rim with tiny spout. It stands 204 mm/ 8" tall with a 140mm/ 5 1/2"diameter. It does react to uv light but not very brightly.
Any information regarding age and manufacturer gratefully received.
Best regards
Nick

Jugs are very hard to ID

This generally means it isn't uranium, rather that it contains manganese. Uranium gives a very bright glow, just less concentrated sometimes
