Title: murano or pirelli

Hi guys
simple question i hope- what are the diffrences between murano animals and pirelli as when i see them in antique centres ,charity shops i wouldnt know what im buying could someone be able to give any hints?

Most glass animals are probably not Murano; lampwork animals have been made worldwide for many years. It only requires a blow torch and glass rods. However here is some help with the Pirelli ones http://www.ysartglass.com/Indexcat04.htm

Very grateful for your thoughts and input the reason i ask is i bought a par of birds on branch presumed it was murano untill googled and the only other name to appear was pirelli i know murano is a broad term for glass factories

Aw shucks - such a disappointment that no-one suggested you need to buy my book on Pirelli Glass - if it isn't in the Pirelli Glass book then it isn't Pirelli. Easy.

We need a book on all the non-Pirelli animals now too. :)
