Title: Small concentric complex canes - French or Bohemian?
Post by: LesBeatiques on October 10, 2014, 12:52:28 AM
Hello,

Any thoughts on this piece? It is roughly 2-1/8" diameter & 1-3/8" tall and rests on a concave polished base.

Many thanks for the help.

Hi.  The canes are typical of Grenelle (just might be St Mandé, but I favour Grenelle). Also the size and style fit.  So French, probably made around 1855.
