Title: ID help please ribbed lustre? vase. ID = Imperial "Ripple"
Post by: vanmann on October 10, 2014, 05:59:44 PM
Any thoughts please on origin and/or age of this 8 inch tall vase. Looks very shiny and new although base seems to have some age related wear.
All suggestions much appreciated, John

Definitely not new; it's American carnival glass so 100 years old give or take a few. Imperial Glass's Ripple I believe

The colour is Imperial's Helios. A green base glass with gold-silver iridescence that is very typical of Imperial's production.

You may enjoy visiting our Imperial Glass Gallery (on our new website), where you can see the Ripple vase as well as other Imperial items.

And if you would like to see a blast from the past, try this (also on our new website).
