Or possibly Dutch. Is it made of lead or soda glass? height? Could be as late as 1750.

i would say it is lead glass....and the height is slightly more than 14cm

After much searching...here is an example...that looks very much like the one i posted.
I have seen several sites stating English and others German ?

So after a lot of looking around..here is some good history about this glass....and seems like after all it is English.

Hi ,
Only just read this thread and I would say the glass posted is not lead it looks very like soda glass to me and I would think probably German or Thuringian mid 18th century, the many bubbles in the glass the debased form of the stem the irregular fold on the foot all say soda glass and not English.
cheers
Peter.

Hi Peter
Thank you so much. I have just yesterday had it confirmed by a leading glass dealer in London...it is just as you say.
Not been that good on glass but he has helped me in depth...so from here on i will know the difference between soda glass and the rest.
Easy finding the goodies with a sort of good eye but as not the expert in old drinking glasses.
Once again many thanks
