I have no idea who made this, i think it's early 60's.
It looks similar to a Harrachov blue vase.
It's heavy for it's size 900 grams with a flat polished base.
5 inches in height, 2 1/2 inches across the base.

Absolutely Harrachov, by Milan Metelak, late 1950s. What a lovely find.

Thank you for that, i have spent 5 hours searching today, the closest i came was the blue vase with the different shaped base on the 20th century glass web site, that's why i love this site, regards Chris.

Hi Chris,
There is a similar (though not the same) shape in the 1958 CGR: CGR 1958 3-4 (https://picasaweb.google.com/104509467784289017506/Glasrevue195834?authkey=Gv1sRgCJ7HucyplfzFqwE#5438611121886189634)
But it is certainly, as you thought, Harrachov. :)

I like your website by the way, looks like your an expert in your field of glass, do you think this is a rare vase?.
-
Everything I learned, I learned from the GMB and the very generous help of Robert Bevan-Jones, Jindrich Parik, and other passionate collectors of Czech glass here, like David and Michael. (Of course, any mistakes in my attributions are all my own. ;D )
I don't think 'rare' is a good term to use. However, I do think your piece is desirable -- it certainly is attractive and of very good quality. A collection of different shapes must look wonderful when displayed together.
