Title: Last for now, satin etched with flush surface canes.
Post by: BobKegeles on November 21, 2014, 08:27:24 PM
Here's another w8 that puzzles me.

It's dome shaped nicely satin etched/frosted, with some lovely thin sliced small canes, on the surface. They are not bulging in any way, very smooth, very flush to surface. They seem to be so thin, that it's almost as if they were decals.

No markings.

I'm guessing Chinese, but the canes are just so pretty.

The canes are Murano, so I suspect the paperweight is also.

Hi.  It may well be Murano, but so many people around the world have used Murano canes it is hard to be certain.  A few years ago I saw a glass studio in New Zealand using Murano canes in their work.  Here in the UK, Liskeard Glass used to use Murano canes.
