Title: Perthshire PP11? ID = Strathearn
Post by: scotglass on December 11, 2014, 10:40:31 PM
Hi

I would like to know if this is a Perthshire PP11 which I bought at auction recently.  I cannot find a date cane nor any silhouettes but it seems to fit the look of an early PP11.

Any assistance would be gratefully received.

Thanks Carol

Looks like a Strathearn paperweight to me.

Hi there, Strathearn I would say because of the canes and design.
When you get to Perthshire PP11 as you mentioned the advancement in cane work is definately improved because that was the way they were going as a team and company.
Strathearn are still vey difficult  for us to make as collectors so decide what price you wish to pay and if it is appealing to your eyes thats fine.
                     Regards Roger

I agree - 100% Strathearn.  The design was issued in various sizes from miniature through to (rarely) magnum, some of the latter being facetted.  There are quite a few of this design around with 'EIIR' and '77' canes in them, for the Queen's silver jubilee.
