Title: Jones & Co. - now a Belgian label
Post by: David E on January 02, 2015, 03:21:50 PM
Dragging up the eternal topic on Jones & Co., do we know anymore about its origin? In the meantime, here's a label 'Made in Belgium' with the usual 'JC' logo - any ideas on the factory that made the glass?

Does anyone know anything about this company? I can find Pottery Gazette adverts dating back to 195 (http://glassgallery.yobunny.org.uk/displayimage.php?pos=-9179)3, but the company appears to fade away in the late 1960s, or perhaps the early 1970s.

You know D&D have a white with red splodges Prachen vase with a Jones import label on it?
(I'm just back from visiting it. )

Having just spoken to D I think this is a different company. Jones & Co was an English importer of glass, I think the label you saw was for another company? See Wayne's site:

That's the one. Loads of Joneses then. ::)
Or different labels from the same Jones?
