Title: Walther acanthus
Post by: Lustrousstone on January 10, 2015, 03:44:44 PM
Somebody told me that these were Walther Acanthus but I cannot find any definitive evidence. Can anyone help please?

Still 'unknown' as far as I am aware, Christine.

Some photos attached of sets or part sets in green uranium, clear, peach and pink glass for comparison.

There is, however, a peachy-pink bowl shown as 'Walther Acanthus' in the Glass queries gallery at http://glassgallery.yobunny.org.uk/displayimage.php?album=653&pos=82&PHPSESSID=
which has many of the decorative features in common with the trinket set pieces, but I can't  find the pattern in the Walther Musterbuchs so far.

Fred.

How about "maple leaf"?  I have  some boxes with a lot of orphans...  bottles, boxes, candles and/or  trays that I had to buy in order to get a ring holder for the collection.  Never complete sets, but some parts of it.  Herewith a blue set of this model.  No name or RD numbers on it.  The tray is quiet heavy.  Anne feel free to use the images for your GTS
