I just launched a project on Kickstarter to fund the rebuilding of an electric glass furnace with an electronic control system.
I am offering blown glass rewards starting at $10. Glass kisses, ornaments, drinking glasses, fish, goblets and vases.

Check into buying a furnace from AIM kilns, all you'll have to do is plug it in and program the controller> I used one for about 8-9 years. It has even better elements than the Kanthal as far as I'm concerned. Tommy Spake, right outside of Chattanooga has been using one of their 120lb. crucible units for several years now and has been very pleased.
