Another small piece in pink that looks like a lolly bag! Signature on the base - quite hard to photograph so any ideas appreciated. Thanks Chris

You'll need to make your image bigger so we can see the detail please.  You should be able to get them so the longer sides are around the 700 - 900 pixel mark and still stay below the board's file size limit. The same applies to your two other ID requests.

If you need help getting them resized properly please just shout! :)

Hi Anne,
Another shot hopefully large enough.

This vase is made by the Australian glass artist James Dodson. He trained at the Jam Factory in Adelaide (1981-82) and at Orrefors glass school before setting up near Launceston in Tasmania. He is best known for his colourful small birds, fish and other animals. Another discussion on the GMB (http://://http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,41273.0.html) shows several examples of his fish and of his signature.

His business called Tasmanian Glassblowers has a website (http://www.tasglassblowers.com.au/jdmg.html). The vase in question may be found by following the links Gallery > Speciality Items > Flower Vases.

Lest it be thought he only makes small items, the platter in the image below is 43 cm across and signed "JA Dodson 10/86" (signature shown in Reply #14 of the other thread).
