Been after one of these for a while, around 6 inches tall and heavy, ;D ;D
-
That IS a lovely design. :)
Much nicer than the newer, shinier version too. I like the red background better than the ivory.
Yours is a better shape than my red one; mine's a taller vase with a bulgy bottom and flared rim. :(I couldn't find one in your shape. :P
It's funny how the same design can look so different on a different shape. :)

Thanks Sue, really like the colour and shape, I can't believe how heavy it is for it's size, ;D
-
good piece Keith - I don't have the red yet. Apparently both the sand and red come under the same collection name of 'Ebony' and according to Mark Hill's book some of the more recent pieces (in sand he says) were made in Poland.
I remember seeing this range being sold in the Pastimes shops a few years back.

Mark's book shows what appears to be the full range of shapes for what the factory brochure called their 'flame' colour, and this shape is described as a planter - included they said, to give an oriental flavour :)

Thanks for the info' Paul, now where to put it ? ::) ;D
-
I guess it's got to be something like the 56th shelf ;D
