I have just started collecting Isle of Wight glass and i just want to be 100% sure on these two pieces.
I think the smaller one is called "Ribbons" and the larger is called "Satin"
So if anyone out there can confirm this it would be greatly appreciated .

Hello and welcome, I'm no expert but they look right to me, I think these are what were used as the basis for the Royal Brierley studio range, ;D ;D

Yes, you are spot on. The globe PB is Satin and the conical PB is Black Ribbons. See these pages:

Hope this helps.

A big thank you to Keith and Chilternhills for your quick response and links . You have been a great help.
I now know where to find help on any other pieces i get stuck on in the future.

Those are great links from knowledgable folk, but you're welcome to ask and discuss anything about glass here too.

Finding a piece of Satin is a great way to start collecting IOW glass. It is scarce and hard to find. And in New Zealand too!

Yes,really pleased with the Satin perfume bottle. Not sure if i paid too much at $125NZD (63 pounds) but i had to have it.The ribbons bottle came with a Azurene and a peacock vase for a total of $69NZD and that seemed a good price. Now i have the bug for collecting IOW,who knows where it will end.I mainly collect NZ Studio glass from Raos,Nash & Hoglund(son of Erik of Kosta Boda) so i am really pleased to be buying these new pieces to my collection.Cheers.
