Could not find a cane identifier. The paper sticker indications John Deacons but it is not printed on the sticker. Their was a foil label at one time. Previous owner attached the paper label "flower in a ring.

I'm not really a pwt person, I may be wrong, but isn't that sticker an old one from Border Art Glass? Peter Holmes.

woops, I just noticed you're new - welcome to the gmb, and thanks so much for posting your images directly and getting the resizing sorted - much appreciated. :)

I've got the same label on a John Deacons St Kilda (it has the STK signature cane) paperweight.

Thanks Alastair!
It's all these flippin' thistles, they get everywhere. :-[
Where's Eeyore, when you need him? ;)
-
Not only Eeyore that eats thistles Sue. My Dad taught me how to do that. Not something I've made a habit of - I prefer using the same technique on a Globe Artichoke.
Hope my initial response goes some way to answering the original question :D

Hi All
Definitely a John Deacons weight. John told me an American company called The De Cora Import Co. who were then in New York commissioned him to make the St Kilda Weights but as they were importing them they wanted each weight to show the country of origin so John had these Made In Scotland stickers made to comply with their request

Thank you all so much for your help!

...and just to add - I forgot that I had the pictured leaflet for John Deacons 1980 Jay Glass weights. One of them is described as Flower on Millefiori ring. Unfortunately I don't have a picture for that particular weight to confirm if that's what your one is.
