Title: Whiskey or water ? overlay carafe help please

Any thoughts on this one please, it appears very well made with  little signs of use or wear, I think it might be a bit small for a bedside water carafe, polished pontil on both bottle and glass.

The bottle is 6 1/4 inches in height and the glass 4 1/4 inches in height with a wide rim 2 3/4 inches across.
