Title: Scottish flower weight Vasart maybe?
Post by: chriscooper on February 23, 2015, 02:07:53 PM
Presuming it's Scottish remains of a circular paper label on base.
Any thoughts towards age or maker would be great.
thanks Chris

Very likely made by Salvador Ysart during the Ysart Brothers (Vasart) period.

The inner green "ground" is rather unusual in that it looks like a "thick ring" rather than a more obvious green ground within the double millefiori garland that is known in several Salvador Ysart "upright flower / butterfly" weights.

The remains of the label could fit with the round shaped "Vasart" label used before 1956.
